Angels We Have Heard on High

Key of G · 4/4, "down, down-up" · Chords: G C D Em Am · Words: French carol, trans. James Chadwick · Later verses: same chords, from the hymnal

In the Gloria, change chords on every beat, one strum each. It is the best drill in the book.

G D G
Angels we have heard on high,
G D G
Sweetly singing o'er the plains,
G D G
And the mountains in reply
G D G
Echoing their joyous strains.

G Em Am D G C Am D
Glo--o----o----o----o----o----o----ria,
G C D G
in excelsis Deo.
(sing the Gloria twice)
